Signature Treatments
Hybrid 5 in 1 Laser is a laser machine we use at Alpha Asia Aesthetics to treat pigmentation and skin tone concerns. It is called a 5 in 1 laser because it comes with five different handpiece modes, each built to target a different skin condition, rather than one fixed setting for everyone.
This is different from a single mode laser, since our doctor can switch between the five modes depending on what your skin needs, sometimes even combining more than one mode in the same session for a more complete result.
Sun spots, freckles and patches of uneven skin tone are some of the most common concerns our patients bring to us. Many have tried creams and home remedies without much change, and are looking for a more targeted option that a doctor can guide them through. This is where Hybrid comes in, as one of the options our doctor may recommend based on your individual skin assessment.
At Alpha Asia Aesthetics, our doctor uses the Hybrid platform, a Q switched Nd:YAG laser system with two wavelengths, 1064nm and 532nm, and five different handpiece modes. Having five modes on one platform means our doctor can adjust the treatment to your specific skin concern, rather than using a single fixed setting for everyone.
The five handpiece modes we work with include:
Our doctor selects the mode, or combination of modes, that suits your skin during your treatment, based on what is assessed at consultation.
Our patients typically come to us wanting help with:
Melasma tends to be influenced by hormones, sun exposure and other individual factors, so we usually manage it with a combination approach rather than laser alone. Our doctor will discuss this with you if it applies to your case.
Session length depends on the area being treated and the mode used, and will be explained to you beforehand.
To support your skin after a session, we generally advise:
Our doctor will advise how many sessions you may need and the interval between them, based on how your skin responds.
We recommend a consultation for anyone considering this treatment. It is especially important to speak with our doctor first if you:
Our doctor reviews your medical history at consultation before confirming whether this treatment is suitable for you.
At our clinic, it is generally used for pigmentation concerns such as sun spots, freckles, certain benign pigmented marks and, as part of a broader plan, melasma. Suitability depends on individual skin assessment by our doctor.
It is a Q switched Nd:YAG laser with multiple handpiece modes on one platform, which allows our doctor to adjust the treatment for different pigment types and depths rather than relying on one fixed setting.
This varies between individuals and depends on the type and depth of pigmentation. Our doctor will advise a suitable treatment plan for you after assessment.
Most of our patients describe a warm or mild stinging sensation during the laser pulses. Sensitivity can vary from person to person.
Downtime is generally minimal to mild at our clinic, though this depends on the handpiece mode used and your skin’s individual response.
Melasma is a chronic condition influenced by hormones and sun exposure among other factors. Our doctor may recommend this laser as part of a broader management plan, but results vary and melasma can recur.
This is generally not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or for those with active skin infections, certain scarring tendencies, or recent significant tanning. A consultation with our doctor will confirm suitability for you.
If pigmentation or uneven skin tone has been bothering you, we invite you to book a consultation at Alpha Asia Aesthetics. Our doctor will assess your skin in person and advise whether Hybrid laser treatment, or another option, is the right fit for your concern.
